Lehtipiste’s Magazine Deliveries Have Transitioned to Electric Vehicles in Major Cities. Environmental Efforts Have Progressed Faster Than Planned.
The environmental program of the Lehtipiste Group has progressed faster than planned. The focus of the sustainability work is on measures aimed at reducing the carbon footprint, and magazine deliveries have been transitioned to electric vehicles in seven locations. Deliveries by electric vehicles reduce emissions in city centers and the noise pollution caused by deliveries. In addition to deliveries by electric vehicles, renewable fuel is now used in transportation, significantly reducing the emissions from magazine deliveries nationwide. “The rapid progress of the environmental program has been made possible by our excellent partners who have invested in electric transport equipment,” says Juha Tiittanen, Lehtipiste’s Logistics Director.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, route planning for deliveries continues to focus on avoiding unnecessary driving distances, even though more and more deliveries are made using electricity and renewable fuels.
Lehtipiste’s logistics-focused business unit, Pakettipiste, transports not only magazine deliveries but also shipments for the automotive and healthcare industries to a growing number of customers across the country.
