Our Group’s sustainability efforts focus on measures to reduce the carbon footprint of transportation. We also invest in reducing plastic use, increasing the use of recycled materials, and fulfilling our social and economic responsibilities.
The most significant sources of emissions in our carbon footprint are related to transportation and the products we sell. We work resolutely to reduce these impacts. To support this work, we have developed a climate roadmap with concrete emission reduction measures.
A healthy and engaged workforce plays a key role in achieving our sustainability goals. Listening to our employees, ensuring occupational safety, providing employee benefits, and maintaining a pleasant working environment are central to creating and sustaining wellbeing.
Our goal is to run a profitable business while also investing in growth. This is how we safeguard jobs for the future as well.
To guide our day-to-day work, we have established shared ethical principles that apply to each and every one of us. Through our owner Tradeka’s whistleblowing channel, feedback can also be submitted regarding Lehtipiste or its subsidiaries if any conduct is suspected of violating Lehtipiste’s ethical principles.
We report annually on the goals and achievements of our sustainability work in our owner Tradeka’s annual and sustainability report. We require our partners to commit to our ethical guidelines, and we assess the sustainability of our supply chain as part of the procurement process.
Environmental responsibility
A reduction in indirect carbon footprint relative to revenue compared to the previous year
A reduction in the carbon footprint from direct emissions compared to the previous year
Social responsibility
We provide a safe, equal and non-discriminatory workplace for all our employees
We require the same from our partners
Corporate responsibility
We run a profitable business and thereby secure our employees’ jobs
Our ethical guidelines require zero tolerance for corruption and bribery. A due diligence policy and a sanctions policy have been in place since 2023.
Tradeka made a commitment to the UN Global Compact in 2020 to promote its ten principles of corporate responsibility (https://unglobalcompact.org/what-is-gc/mission/principles) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (https://www.globalcompact.fi/agenda-2030). In line with the initiative, Lehtipiste has selected from the UN’s 17 global Sustainable Development Goals those goals that it particularly focuses on in its operations. These five Sustainable Development Goals provide a framework for examining responsible business from a long-term perspective.Â

All companies in the Lehtipiste Group use the Avainlippu (Key Flag) label, which signifies Finnish work. All companies in the Group are members of Rinki, the producer community responsible for recycling packaging materials.
The Lehtipiste Group is owned by Tradeka (https://www.tradeka.fi/), which has set the goal of being a forerunner in sustainability and of making the companies it owns among the most responsible in their respective industries. The achievement of this goal is supported by concrete targets related to both financial performance and sustainability. Furthermore, the remuneration policy encourages the individuals and bodies within its scope to take sustainability considerations into account and to develop the sustainability of business operations.
